DEXTHERM is a one-component reactive polyurethane (PUR) adhesive able to combine the properties of a traditional hot melt with those of a structural industrial adhesive. The formulation is applied hot and rapidly develops sufficient green strength to keep the parts assembled. Moisture completes the cross-linking of the polyurethane adhesive, giving thermal, chemical and mechanical resistance superior to traditional hot melts. Reactive PUR hot melt offers excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates and is recommended for applications where, among other properties, optical transparency is also required. DEXTHERM is characterised by a low free isocyanate content, significantly reducing operator exposure.
